6 Month Mark

My adorable little munchkin hit her 6 month mark yesterday. I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed. And would you know it, she slept for almost 12 hours straight [was up for 1/2 hour]. I like to put her down late evening so I can get a full nights sleep, but this isnt my first and I know not to fight it when their rubbing their eyes and whining, so she went down at 630 PM. I felt defeated, knowing I would not get a full nights sleep with her down so early- Mama was wrong. She slept until 1 AM, had a bottle, went back down at 122 AM and didnt wake up until 630 in the morning. I woke up before her! How surprised [and grateful] was I!

And So it Begins Again

Another school year. My children are heading into the great Babylon JR SR High School. I would have thought their toughest feat would be figuring out the layout and scurrying to get to and fro classes within 3 minutes, but no..turns out their toughest feat was getting their lockers open.

I spent possibly more than an hour with them at orientation just working on their lockers. Left right left, no, right left left, no, right left right? that was my daughters confusion. My son just couldnt get the lines to line up because he wanted to open his locker like a pro and was spinning the dial back and forth so fast I couldnt see the numbers. Kids huh.

I think im more excited than them.

Planet Not Large Enough to House Bill O Reilly's Ego

Seriously, he is the one Fox News guy that I cannot stand. Does this guy have no shame? He has been self promoting his book like the book sales is the only thing that will save him from poverty. Everything he says, he has to end with something about himself. About how "tough" he is. Or sound bites of unimportant people mentioning his name. Oh, and he even said "Mccain and Obama are listening, they are listening right now". YOURE NOT IMPORTANT! Its constantly , I I I I I. Youre a joke. Youre an embarrassment to Fox. I cant imagine who or what your following is comprised of.

And that "interview" with Obama...didnt it end with Bill asking for a position in his cabinet? Although it was meant to come off in a joking way, Billy Boy wanted to plant the idea in his head because he truly feels he is that significant. Ugh. Hes a disgrace. I wish he'd use his air time to make more disgusting phonecalls to women out of his league.

From one NYer to Another

I came across this over @ the NY Sun - although I dont like to post twice in a day, I need to share these bits

"All of my women friends, a week ago Monday, were on the verge of throwing
themselves out windows," an author and political activist, Nancy Kricorian of
Manhattan, said yesterday. "People were flipping out. ... Every woman I know was
in high hysteria over this. Everyone was just beside themselves with terror that
this woman could be our president — our potential next president."

Why stop yourselves? Dont fight the urge!

A posting on a New York-based Web site for women, Jezebel.com, spoke of
unbridled anger. "What I feel for her privately could be described as violent,
nay, murderous, rage," an associate editor at Jezebel, Jessica Grose (haha), wrote.
"When Palin spoke on Wednesday night, my head almost exploded from the
incandescent anger boiling in my skull."

dictionary.com

Jesebel : a wicked, shameless woman.

Jessica, over at Jezebel.com, shares her fragile psychosis with us. Does this come as a surprise to anyone that a woman on the brink of lunacy feels "violent, murderous rage"? Your head almost exploded because you were slamming it repeatedly into the 4 padded walls you call home.

"When I see people crowing about her 'acceptable' speech last Wednesday ...
I literally want to vomit with rage," a comment from Anibundel said.

You must be Jessicas roommate. Id lend you a mop, but youd probably just stick each other up the ass with it.

"I am having Sarah Palin nightmares," an acclaimed playwright and
writer, Eve Ensler, wrote on the Huffington Post. "I think of rape. I think of destruction. I think of
domination," Ms. Ensler wrote.

Yes, the Sarah Palin nomination will have all the rapists running out trying to impregnante people, so when theyre finally caught, their DNA can be matched to their rape-baby.

I have nightmares too! Only as long as people like this can call themselves American Citizens, mine will never go away.

The Anti American sentiment is becoming louder and less clear...see this example below

Well, I have an ugly confession to make: I don't support the troops - at
least not unconditionally. When somebody tells me they serve in the military, my
first impulse isn't to say, "Thank you for your service!" like those
insufferable chickenhawks on talk radio.

My first impulse is to say, "I'm sorry to hear that." Because I am. I'm
sorry to know that the person I'm talking to might someday be maimed or killed
on the job, or might someday kill someone else. Or refuel a plane that drops
bombs on buildings.

There are, of course, plenty of laudable functions that soldiers serve.
But their sworn duty is to wage war. They may perform this duty with courage.
They may feel great love for their country. But we don't pay them simply for
their patriotism or integrity. We also pay them to kill people.

Steve Almond

I wanted to say something quick and to the point, however, I have to register (waste of time) and so I shall comment on this blurt lunacy right here:

If not for those troops defending our freedom for the past 100+years, where would you be today?

Lets Face It

Palin doesnt have foreign policy experience, and as she speaks, its obvious she lacks in other areas as well. However, she DOES have more experience than Obama, and I dont know about you, but id rather my VP come into office with a learning curve and not my President.

Instead of floundering on questions, I wish she would just come out and set it straight. Of course she cant say she's "lacking" in any given area, but she can bring up the comparison to Obama.

This election just sickens me, its not about who would make a better President, its about race, gender, money and just plain contempt the parties have for each other. We, the people, allow this. We should revolt. Not 100 or 1000 of us, but more than half the damn country should join together and put an end to this corruption.

Its a terrible feeling, to feel as though, as an American, you have no control. None. No control over your money, the taxes you pay, elections, costs, education, healthcare...were "flippin'" robots!

Wheres Waldo?

Well, I can never find Waldo and I dont look for him but I did look for Michelle Obama yesterday at the 9/11 commemoration. Although I am sure there is a valid reason she did not attend the historical remembrance ceremony of those who lost their lives for no damn reason, it reflected very bad on her. While Mrs McCain was thanking those that risked their lives to save others and reassuring those who lost loved ones, Michelles absence was surely felt.
